2027 Geely Monjaro PHEV spied testing

Geely has apparently begun testing its updated Xingyue L crossover, known outside of China as the Monjaro. Autohome.cn, which has posted these spy shots, points out two cutouts in the camo wrap where the fuel tank lid and the charging port usually are, suggesting that we are dealing with a plug-in hybrid here.

The general outlines and proportions seem to stay the same, although the rear end appears somewhat bulkier and the glasshouse seems partially redesigned. A look at the front end also reveals vertical bars in the radiator grille – also a first for the hybrid version of the SUV.

The only interior photo available thus far doesn’t reveal anything new, at least, to us. Do let us know if you notice something of interest, though.

In June 2026, the Xingyue L was proclaimed Geely’s single best-selling non-electric vehicle in China. Aside from the facelift, rumor has it the company is working on a full-size SUV based on the same platform as the Galaxy M9. This one remains to be announced.
