The British luxury carmaker has decided to lessen the focus on electric vehicles and invest more in hybrids instead.
As it turned out, many high-end car buyers tend to ignore EVs because they believe that a true luxury vehicle has to have an internal combustion engine. As a result, the demand for ICE cars is still high and shows no signs of trickling out. By offering hybrids, Bentley could meet this demand while simultaneously getting its customers better acquainted with the virtues of EVs.
Like before, the company hopes to introduce its first fully electric car in 2026. However, it will not be coming to replace any of the Bentleys in the current lineup. Rather, it will go on sale as a standalone model.
