Ford CEO Jim Farley believes that the company will be better off catering for affluent enthusiasts.
Right now, the company has three model lineups that could be described as “iconic” – the Bronco, the F-150 Raptor, and the Mustang. According to Farley, these three nameplates will represent the Ford identity moving forward.
Speaking in his latest interview, Farley also said the company felt the need to get rid of all the “boring” cars, like the Fiesta, Focus, and Mondeo. Despite being responsible for the bulk of the brand’s sales, at least in Europe, these three are on their way out now that the Blue Oval wishes to move upmarket.
