The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is scheduled to go on sale later this year, introducing the brand's e-Power series-hybrid powertrain to the United States. The initial release will feature the SR trim level with the SR Technology package, priced at $43,065. The lineup is expected to expand with additional models in early next year.
The e-Power system uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine to charge a battery, which then powers dual electric motors. These motors deliver a combined 225 horsepower to all four wheels. Preliminary fuel economy estimates for the Rogue Hybrid are 40 mpg in the city, 36 mpg on the highway, and 38 mpg combined. Nissan indicates that this generation of the e-Power system has been specifically tuned for the North American market.
New technologies in the Rogue Hybrid include two brake-focused features: e-Pedal regenerative braking for one-pedal driving and Smooth Stop, which regulates brake pressure. The interior features a new dashboard layout. The entry-level trim will have a 12.3-inch touchscreen, while SR models with the Technology package and the Platinum trim will feature a 14.3-inch unit with a Google-based operating system. All Rogue Hybrids will adopt a new 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger.
The vehicle also introduces an updated ProPilot Assist system with a new front radar sensor, a wider-field-of-view front camera, and updated software. This system is designed to improve lane centering and handle curves at higher speeds. Other driver-assist features include automatic lane changes and Hands-off Traffic Jam Support for low-speed traffic on divided highways when ProPilot Assist is active.
