Famous Lamborghini Diablo restomod goes topless

Eccentrica, an Italian firm known primarily for reviving the classic Lamborghini Diablo supercars on modern components, has announced a new entry in its restomod lineup: it looks like a roadster.

The full reveal remains scheduled for Monday, August 10, but the company has already shared some details with the media. Among other things, it is official that the new Eccentrica vehicle will rely on a naturally aspirated V12 and manual transmission with no option to go turbo or automatic. Helped by a bit of tuning, the mill will output around 550 PS (542 hp / 405 kW) to the wheels.

There are no photos of the car yet, but the company claims it redid the exterior and the cabin from a blank slate. Since Lambo only ever produced around 400 Diablo roadsters, we assume that the new restomod will be available as a coupe conversion. In any case, Eccentrica promises us all-carbon bodywork and high-end racing hardware all around.

All pricing details remain private, but different sources have reported that the tuner’s take on the Diablo starts from around €1,200,000 or even €1,350,000 before options.
