Beijing Hyundai has announced that the Ioniq V will launch in the Chinese market on September 29. Pre-sales for the vehicle have already begun, with three configurations offered. The price range for the Ioniq V is from 119,900 yuan (17,600 USD) to 139,900 yuan (20,600 USD).
The Ioniq V was designed under the leadership of the Hyundai China Design Centre. It is described as a strategic model for Chinese consumers, with plans to export its design language and concepts to global markets in the future. The vehicle features a fully enclosed front fascia, split lighting, and a fastback silhouette. It measures 4,900mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,470mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900mm.
The interior includes a 27-inch 4K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip. The infotainment system integrates AI large-language models, including Baidu’s Ernie Bot and ByteDance’s Doubao. A “Cyber Eye” head-up display system is also present. For assisted driving, the Ioniq V uses the Momenta system, which enables high-speed navigation on pilot.
The Ioniq V is powered by a single-motor setup available in two output configurations: 140 kW (188 hp) and 168 kW (225 hp). It is equipped with either a 53.5 kWh or a 66.8 kWh LFP battery from CATL. These configurations offer four CLTC-rated pure electric ranges: 520 km, 540 km, 620 km, and 650 km.
